PODCAST
Hi everyone my name is Angie, I'm from Colombia and I moved to Chicago in September 2012. I know how hard is been in a cold city by yourself... You know guys Winter is boring, you spend too much time at home specially in the bed or couch..... So I said: I can create a new podcast about the best places to do dance tropical and Latin Music in Chicago. Why not create a post about this topic?
Ok guys the name of my podcast is DANCING SALSA & MORE IN CHICAGO.
Well I said already that I'm from Colombia so, you can imagine that I love to dance. This is my favorite activity and I know that if you're listening this post is because you like too.
Then I'll talk a little bit about why I decided to created this New post. Many students or people who move to a different country, especially with different culture know how hard is find your food, your music or things that you used to do when you were at home. well, even when the first couple months you feel so excited about the new things, you want to try the new "world", you want to see new people, food, music habits etc...
You wake up one day and you feel like that you need something, you need to listen that music that makes you feel alive, that music that make you move your hips and shoulders unwittingly. when this is happening you think: I need to dance my music, yes our tropical, Latin and Caribbean music. If your are from Latin america you know what I mean. Because we've this in our blood.
Then after a couples months in Chicago, I start to look where I can go to dance with good environment, I mean dance and have a good time, may eat some traditional food as empanadas or arepas. I could say that almost all Latin people feel this when they move to a different country out of Latin America. Why I said this? because my Latin friends here think the same way.
Well after listened my friends' experiences and my own I decided: I'm going to make a new podcast about this topic. This way, new people in Chicago or even visitors can get information about where they can go and have a good time. I know some people could said: I can found information in internet!!! I know, but the point here is; I will talk about places where I have been and I've work in this kind of places so for sure I know what I'm talking about because I have been dancing salsa and Cuban music for more than 7 years. I'm not gonna said how old I am but I have experience in this topic.
So you will hear about, places, opinions, prices, reviews, and more. Also you can comment about the place of the week on my blog about your own experience there. So you can join this post. This is important because may you have a different opinion or experience. So wherever you want to said you can do it in y blog and I will comment about your opinion on my next post.
Then I hope you had like this podcast and stay with me. Next week I gonna talk about National 25. This is the first place where i went to dance salsa in Chicago. Thanks for listen this podcast. Remember my name is Angie, stay warm and don't miss my second podcast about National 25.
You can let me know your opinions on my blog Winter 2014. Bye bye.
